A retrospective descriptive study on analyzing knowledge and attitudes of care towards prehospitalization care for Cerebrovascular accident patients.

A Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) is a neurological disorder of the CNS and has higher risk death or permanent sequel. The incidents cardiovascular disease are skyrocketing in developing countries like India. Despite many efforts by government public health activists experts, it still may lead to damage social structure families patients. non-experimental retrospective descriptive research design was adapted find out knowledge primary caretaker/s towards prehospitalization care CVA patients at Apollo Hospitals, Kakinada. total 203 caretakers were identified. Out that, 170 participated study, 23 lost follow-up, 10 refused participate study. Data collected using structural questionnaire. 20 questions asked patient’s relatives for their responses assess frequency percentage attitude regarding CVA. analysed inferential statistics (including count percentage). study findings revealed that 42.9% assumed bio-infection, 51.1% believed primarily involves heart. Regarding clinical presentation, 41.7% believe sudden onset weakness, 40.5% headaches, unable identify numbness hands.
